90 mm Fibre Cup Lid — GR-BG03
A moulded-fibre lid for 90 mm rim cups: Ø90 × 20 mm, 5 g, with a drink opening and a vent notch. Sold as a lid, not as a cup-and-lid set.
Construction
90 mm is the common calibre for hot cups; it is not a guarantee of fit. Rim curl diameter and lip thickness vary between cup makers, and a fibre lid clamps on interference fit rather than deforming into the rim the way a thermoformed plastic lid does. Send the cup, or the cup maker's rim drawing, and confirm before production — any supplier who promises compatibility from the diameter alone is passing that risk to your line.
The reason to specify fibre rather than PP is the disposal route: cup and lid then travel as one item instead of being separated by the customer, which in practice never happens. The cost is sealing behaviour, and it should be stated: fibre is stiff but not elastic.
Fit and limits
Hot drinks served and consumed within the hour. Not for shaken iced drinks, long-radius delivery, or cups carried loose in a bag — a thermoformed PP lid still wins there, and saying so up front prevents a claim later.
Specification notes
Diameter and height are quoted as drawn. Fit is the one property that cannot be quoted from a drawing — it is confirmed against a cup sample, and that confirmation is what this page offers instead of a compatibility claim, because a compatibility claim made from a diameter is how lines go down.
