Construction

This is the part that turns a single-compartment box into a two-zone meal without a second mould. The tray drops inside the base and holds the side dish, sauce or garnish while the main sits alongside it. Because it is a separate component, the same base can be sold as a plain box or as a split format, and the operator decides which at the point of order rather than at the point of tooling.

At 204 × 132 mm it clears the 653 base at 211 × 149 mm on both axes — that margin is what lets it drop in and lift out without wedging once the box is loaded. The tray floor carries a ribbed panel, which keeps a wet side dish from sliding across the surface as the box is carried.

Fit and limits

One procurement detail deserves planning. The tray ships 300 per case and the 653 container ships 200 sets per carton, so equal carton counts leave you with 100 trays spare for every 200 boxes. Order to the ratio, not to the pallet.

Compatibility is stated for the 652 and 653 as a family. Confirm it against the actual base before a production run: "universal" in a catalogue is a design intention, not a measurement.
